Reminder: 48 hours of Continuing Education (CE) due triennially on June 30th based on licensure year.
Of the 48 hours required, (online hours are at the discretion of the employing agency):
- 2 hours minimum in use of force to determine when force may be employed (annually, must be live training)
- 4 hours minimum in emergency vehicle operations/pursuit driving (once every 5 years, must be live training)
- Remaining hours must be law enforcement related as determined by the agency
The Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (MN POST) requires continuing education to be pre-approved. The courses offered by TargetSolutions have been reviewed and approved by the MN POST to meet the requirements for a peace officer.
