We're excited to announce the recent release of several enhancements to the Vector Evaluations+ web platform and mobile application.
Offline Mode for Mobile App
We know that training and skill demonstrations don’t always take place in high-reception areas; whether out at a remote training ground or deep inside a concrete building, we’ve got you covered.
You can now complete evaluations using our mobile app without any network access! The app automatically detects the loss of connectivity and seamlessly transitions the user to offline mode. The app will immediately sync all data, including media attachments, back to our servers when connectivity is reestablished.
We now offer more control and customization of evaluation notifications.
You can set up the frequency and settings that work for your agency, making sure personnel and leadership stay informed about what they need to know and nothing that they don’t, reducing inbox noise.
Customization of the subject and body makes notifications more relevant to your audience and gives you the opportunity to include instructions specific to their role, increasing the value of the communication.
EV+ administrators can set up immediate email notifications or choose to send daily or weekly email notification digests for several evaluation events, like when an evaluation is signed. Digests are especially helpful for large agencies where evaluators are overseeing a lot of personnel.
You can send notifications to Evaluees, Supervisors and the Evaluator who kicked off the evaluation, as well as other Evaluators.
Email notifications can be set up to send when a form is shared, when the first reflection (evaluee response) question is answered, a form is signed or when a form is completed.

New Report for Performance Trend Analysis
The new Ratings by Question Over Time report shows scores from Rating Scale question types over your selected date range. Now you can easily see how each user is improving or worsening over time. The report is meant to show individual progress, but you’re still free to run the report on multiple users at the same time. Each user will have a graph charting their individual progress.
This report will be especially useful for daily observation reports filled out for probationary personnel, and for those using EV+ to deliver more in-depth evaluations like annual reviews.
To access the report, simply navigate to the reports feature and select the Ratings by Question Over Time report in the Performance section.
Flexible Form Permissions
The majority of forms are not meant to be completed as self-evaluations. This is so your data, especially in the case of skill sheets, stays accurate. However, you do need your users to have the ability to fill out certain forms for themselves in some cases, such as a pre-shift COVID-19 self assessment.
To allow for both uses, we now offer the ability to either restrict or allow self-evaluation per form. This setting is available in individual form settings and is on by default.
More information: Creating a Form
Because the number of forms created by EV+ administrators is significant, we have also added a bulk action setting that will allow admins to select multiple existing forms and batch edit this new setting with a single action.

Form Permissions with Publish-Restrict Status
We now provide the option to control both who can be evaluated using a specific form and who can use that form to evaluate others. For instance:
An EMS Coordinator may have EMS related forms that are similar and want to make sure that no EMT gets accidentally evaluated with a paramedic form and vice versa. In this case, he could restrict who can be evaluated using these forms.
An FTO Coordinator using our FTO solution may not want the officer in charge of the Phase 1 portion of the program to be able to use Phase 2 or 3 forms to evaluate his trainees. In this case, she could restrict who can use each phase form to evaluate others.
A Training Officer may only want his Paramedic Preceptors to be able to use the “Paramedic Preceptor Run Observation” form to complete evaluations on Paramedics. In this case, he could restrict who can use the form AND who can be evaluated using the form.
These permissions in no way override the user permissions set up. For example, if a form is set to only allow Firefighters to use it to evaluate users, but no users in the Firefighter rank have evaluator permissions, then no one is going to be able to use that form.

Mobile Form Organization
The mobile app now shows form groupings, which are set up from the web platform, within the form-selection step of starting a new evaluation. If you’ve established a form order within a group, the app will reflect that as well. You’ll also notice a more prominent search feature for forms and users.
