The request for an E-Signature is usually necessary when providing documents and policies to staff electronically. TargetSolutions provides the ability to require an E-signature. This document will walk you through the process of adding a resource to the File Center, attaching the resource to a Custom Activity and then, how to assign it to users.
Add Document to File Center:
Open the File Center and click Upload File or Add Link.
Click Select the File(s) and select the file you would like to upload.
The uploaded document will appear in the up-loader, as displayed below. It is complete once it has reached 100%. Do not leave this page until the status is at 100%, or it will not upload correctly.
Create the Activity:
Under Administration, go to the Activities Builder. Click on Create a New Activity. Fill out required information such as Category and Name, and then click Save.
The Activity opens up, there is nothing in it yet. We need to add the resource we added to the file center in the first step. Click on Resource.
Add the E-Signature:
Select the resource desired and click Continue.
Fill out the instructions you want users to follow regarding the attached document, select Require E-Signature, fill out what you would like your users to agree to in the Agreement Text portion, and Click Submit.
You have now created the Custom Activity needed in order to assign out the document to your users.
Create the Assignment:
Under Administration, go to Assignments and then Create New Assignment.
Select your activity and then select the users to be assigned the training.
Select if you want the users to receive an email notification about the assignment and set the start and due dates. Once you are done, click Submit.
You have just added a document, created an activity that requires and E-Signature and assigned it to your users for completion.
