Once an administrator has created an activity, they can easily add a file (Resource) - such as a document or video - to their custom activity.
To attach a resource to an activity - such as a file, website address, or video - click on the Resources component in the Free Form Component section.
This component contains several pods.
The Resources from File Center pod allows you to add one or more files that have already been uploaded to your File Center. Use the check boxes to select the file(s) you wish to add to your activity.
The Resources from Your Computer pod allows you to add one or more files directly from your computer. You can drag and drop those files to this pod or click the Select Files from Your Computer button to open your file explorer.
- Files added from your computer can be added to your File Center directly from this component. Once files are added to this pod, you can choose to add all files to a single folder in your File Center or select individual folders per file. Files are not saved to the File Center until the final submission step (see below).
Once you add files to your activity using the functionality in either of these pods, you will see a new Selected Resources pod that will show you all files selected.
Next, you'll click Continue to enter your instructions and e-signature settings.
You can enter the same instructions and e-signature settings for all files or expand the individual pods per file to enter specific settings for each.
Instructions: This text will appear above the file when the user is completing the activity.
Require E-Signature: Turning this setting on will require that the user open the attached file before they can submit the activity as complete. They will need to check a box containing the Agreement Text.
When you are finished, click Submit.
